Aims
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to important and fundamental topics in Computational Solid-State theory. Course attendees will be able to learn basic concepts to compute electronic structure, lattice vibrations and structural properties of condensed matter. Methods and current achievements in the respective field will be presented in terms of seminars given by students as well as members of the Soli-State-Theory group and its guests. Students are also welcome to suggest particular topics, based on their own interests and activities. The presentation will be given in English. Grading will be according to the course attendance and an oral contribution.
