Basic knowledge of the theoretical concepts and of analytical as well as numerical methods of lattice gauge theories with the emphasis on problems of hadronic and quark-gluon matter under extreme conditions.
Knowledge of the standard model of elementary particle theory.

A certificate for 5 credit points can be achieved by solving problems at home (50 % have to be successfully solved). An oral examination can be individually arranged.
The course (four hours including tutorials) will be offered within Module P23.1.2a under "Recent developments of the theory of elementary particles". It will be given in english.
